After getting his Advanced Bachelor’s Degree from Occidental College, Ken received his Ph.D. from the University of Utah in 1996 and came to Lilly in 1998 from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Research Center as a senior organic chemist.  He has worked projects as a medicinal chemist, as a Lean / 6-Sigma Black Belt and has had leadership responsibilities for the in-vitro labs, transporter biology, in-silico sciences, in the Lead Generation chemistry and isotopic chemistry groups.  Ken was part of the pre-diligence assessment of pre-clinical / discovery level opportunities for Eli Lilly and Co.  Ken has championed new knowledge management and idea generation initiatives and in one of his latest efforts has initiated a program to develop a NASA – Eli Lilly and Co collaboration and is working with CASIS and NASA and a team at Lilly to develop experiments to be run on the international space station in 2015 and 2016.  Ken is currently working on the Design and Development of processes and services that help make the clinical trial experience easier for all the individuals who are part of the system.   Ken is married to Lisa, has two sons (Cory and Zach) and is an active Sr. Assistant Scoutmaster in their Boy Scout troop.
